KEEP IN MIND THE OLD ADAGE "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!"
OUR BARK MULCH IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST FINELY SHREDDED AROUND AND IS A RICH DARK COLOR. EVERYONE DOES NOT CARRY THE SAME BARK MULCH. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY.

Unscreened wood chips are a less expensive alternative to screened wood chips They are recommended for use in unseen areas as well as a base for other products.

Unscreened fill dirt is not for planting. It is recommended only for grading and filling holes.

PREMIUM BARK MULCH
Bark Mulch is made of the bark and cambium of the tree. It features moisture retention, weed control and soil conditioning. Bark Mulches are one of the best mulches for shrub beds.

HARDWOOD MULCH
Hardwood Mulch is composed of a mix of the bark and hardwood parts of the tree.

DYED COLORED MULCHES
Dyed with an organic dye these mulches will hold their color all season long. Because the coloring process requires a dry material recycled woods are sometimes used. This material is light and may blow away in some situations. We do not recommend using colored mulches on steep grades
MULCHING DO'S AND DON'TS
  1. Do mulch at least three to four inches on shrub beds for weed control.
  2. After applying the mulch, thoroughly water the entire mulch bed.
  3. Do not put young bedding plants into freshly distributed mulch because of the residual heat in the mulch and the gases released in the composting process. After the mulch is applied, soak it well with water and wait two days before planting young bedding plants. Do not put "hot" mulch around young bedding plants or flowers.
  4. Do not water dyed mulches after distributing them. This will cause the color to run if done in the first 24 hours after putting it down.

One cubic yard of mulch (27 cubic ft) covers - 100 sq. ft (10 x10 area) 3 inches thick - 150 sq. ft 2 inches thick.
